At RetentionFlow, we prioritize the security and confidentiality of your merchant data. When you integrate our platform with your Shopify store, we collect specific data points necessary to provide our retention analytics service.
- •Order History:Date of purchase, SKU details, transaction amounts, and discount codes applied.
- •Customer Identifiers:Encrypted email addresses, phone numbers, and Shopify customer IDs.
- •Store Metadata:Currency settings, timezone, and shop domain configuration.
2. How We Use Data
The information collected is used exclusively to generate high-signal retention insights and predictive modeling for your Shopify store. We do not sell your data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Primary Use Cases:
• Calculating Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) cohorts.
• Identifying churn-risk scores for specific customer segments.
• Providing personalized re-engagement recommendations based on historical behavior.
3. Data Retention
Our systems maintain a continuous sync with Shopify's API to ensure your dashboard reflects real-time merchant performance. Data is retained as long as your account remains active with RetentionFlow.
Upon termination of your subscription, we initiate a data purging protocol. All identifiable customer data is deleted from our active production databases within 30 days, leaving only aggregated, non-identifiable metrics for historical benchmarking.
4. Your Rights
RetentionFlow is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As a data processor, we provide tools for you to fulfill your customers' data requests directly through our platform.
- Access & Portability: Request a full export of the data we hold on your store's customers.
- Right to Erasure: Delete specific customer records via our compliance dashboard.
- Correction: Update information that may have been ingested during synchronization.
